Welcome to InnerBalance Books, where storytelling meets wholehearted living. I’m Katy, owner and creative voice behind this small, family-run publishing company dedicated to fostering environments where everyone can thrive authentically, dedicated to nurturing hearts and minds with resources that promote emotional wholeness, curiosity, and connection. As a neurodivergent family, we understand the transformative power of embracing one’s true self and creating spaces of acceptance and understanding.
Our journey began with a deep commitment to emotional wholeness and holistic care—caring for the whole person, body, mind, and spirit. My background is in social work and I am currently in my third year of training as a spiritual director. As I have worked to support and provide care for families of all backgrounds, I noticed a big gap in resources available for families that address both emotional and spiritual health and wellness, particularly as we were looking for tools to help us nurture our own neurodivergent kids. Around the same time my partner and I both recieved our own neurodivergent diagonses, and so we embarked on a mission to empower families like ours to navigate the complexities of neurodiversity with curiousity, compassion and resilience.
At InnerBalance Books, we celebrate diversity in all its forms. Our resources are not just products; they are reflections of our lived experiences and our dedication to supporting neurodivergent families in living authentic, meaningful lives. Through our own journey of understanding and acceptance, we have discovered the profound impact of storytelling in fostering connection, empathy, and healing.

We proudly support LGBTQ+ families, are actively engaged in ongoing anti-racism work and learning, and advocate for the safety and liberation of all people. Our work is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to live in a world where they are seen, heard, and valued.
As part of this commitment, we are dedicated to unpacking our own privilege, dismantling systemic barriers, and cultivating anti-racist practices within our company and community. We recognize the importance of confronting internalized ableism and challenging capitalist models that prioritize profit over people. We are committed to mutual care and support for all.
